Changes in minimum insurance

The minimum insurance income depends on the group of economic activities of the insurer. The minimum insurance income becomes BGN 933, and the maximum insurance income becomes BGN 3,750.

Changes in sick leave payment

The employer covers 70% for the first two days of sick leave. The rest of the sick leave is covered by the National Social Security Institute after the employee submits the appropriate documents.

Changes in pension & unemployment benefits

The minimum pension amount from January 01, 2024, until June 30, 2024, would be BGN 523.04 and from July 01, 2024, until December 31, 2024, would be BGN 580.57.

The daily minimum unemployment benefit is BGN 18, and the daily maximum amount is BGN 107.14.

The above-mentioned changes are applicable from Jan 01, 2024.
