Saudi Arabia – Visas and Iqamas Extended due to COVID-19.
On 5 July 2020, the Ministry of Interior for Saudi Arabia announced the below exemptions and extension for visas and residency permits for expatriates:
- Free of charge extension of final exit visas.
- Free of charge 3-months extension of the validity of expired Residence Permits (Iqamas) for expats who are outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on exit and return visas that expired during the period of suspension of entry and exit from Saudi Arabia.
- Free of charge 3-months extension of the validity of unused exit and return visas with exit or return dates falling to the suspension period of entry and exit from Saudi Arabia.
- Free of charge 3-months extension of the validity of the exit and return visas for all expatriates who are outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and whose exit and return visas expired during the period of suspension of entry and exit from Saudi Arabia.
- Free of charge 3-months extension of Residence Permits (Iqamas) for expatriates who are inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and arrived on a visit visa that ends during the period of suspension of entry and exit from Saudi Arabia.
