NSSF Increases Contributions Rates- Effective 1 February 2025
Effective 1 February 2025, Kenyan employees and employers will contribute more towards NSSF contributions. This adjustment marks the third phase of the phased implementation of the NSSF Act of 2013.
Lower Limit (Tier 1)
- The lower limit increases from KSh 7,000 to KSh 8,000.
- Minimum contribution rises from KSh 420 to KSh 480.
Upper Limit (Tier 2)
- The upper limit increases from KSh 36,000 to KSh 72,000.
- Contribution rates still remain at 6% of Upper Limit less Lower Limit.
- Maximum contribution rises from KSh 2,160 to KSh 3,840.
