Libya – Social Security Contribution Percentage Change

On 1^st of June 2022, the Libyan Ministry of Finance issued a resolution to modify the social security contribution rates.

The contribution rate has been increased for all nationalities including Libyans but Pakistanis are exempted. The increase is as follows:

• Employee contributions has increased from 3.750% to 5.125%
• Employer contributions for Libyan Private Companies has increased from 10.500% to 14.350%
• Employer contributions for Foreign Companies has increased from 11.250% to 15.375%

In September 2022 the Libyan Private sector and foreign companies were also included in decree to increase the contribution rates
