Spain Payroll Consultant

We are currently seeking a Payroll Consultant to join our team and help us maintain our high standards in payroll services.

Position Overview

As a Payroll Subject Matter Expert, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of payroll processes, from end to end. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of end-to-end Spanish payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Payroll Processing: Execute end-to-end payroll processes for clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Need extensive knowledge on Spanish Payroll taxes and Social Security calculations.
  • Compliance Management: Stay up to date with Spanish payroll laws and ensure that payroll processes are in full compliance with local legislation.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as a point of contact for complex payroll-related issues and inquiries, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation of payroll processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
  • Training and Support: Train and mentor team members and provide support to clients in understanding and using payroll systems effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements in payroll operations.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external service providers and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality payroll services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of Spanish payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in setting up and configuring payroll systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in shift as per client requirements.

Added Advantage

Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, Global Payroll Management Institute) is a plus.
