What do terms like PEO, GEO and EOR mean? Do they all refer to the same thing?
An international PEO manages a range of services to ease your entry into a new country. A GEO (Global Employment Outsourcing) is similar. An Employer of Record (EOR) takes on the legal responsibility of employing staff on behalf of your organization.
Why use an international PEO instead of incorporating locally?

In an employee leasing situation, an arrangement is made between a business and a staffing firm (supplies the business with workers either on a project or temporary basis). HR outsourcing refers to a contractual arrangement where a third party supports a business through a range of services (hiring, recruiting etc). Temporary contracts are offered when the contract is not expected to be permanent. The contract could be held by the HR outsourcing firm or the business itself. A PEO, however, would be the employer on record for the staff hired.
