Implementation Project Manager

Job Purpose:

The Implementation Project Manager’s main role is to manage payroll outsourcing implementation projects and drive them to its successful completion while managing a small project team in the process.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Creating project plan, objectives and goals
  • Aligning project plan with the client
  • Distributing workstreams of project plan to project team
  • Monitoring & tracking deadlines of project
  • Managing overall communication with client
  • Providing regular status updates to client
  • Identifying project risks and proposing mitigation actions
  • Counterpart to project manager on client’s side
  • First level escalation point for the client
  • Requirements gathering (BBP, Data Dictionary, WT Catalogue, Work schedule Workbook, Leave Types Catalogue, Report Matrix)
  • System configuration (legal entities, pay groups, employee subgroups, work schedules, pay rates, currency settings, payslip configuration/delivery method, tax & social contribution methodology, wage types, cost centers, GL accounts, legal report, leave regulation setup, terminations, reports, statutory filings)
  • Master Data Migration (Data Migration Plan, Validation, Data Migration, Reconciliation)
  • Test Payroll Runs (Parallel Runs, Reconciliation, Unit Testing, Scenario Testing, UAT)
  • Transition to Service (Transition Plan, User Training, Go-Live Readiness, Live payroll for 3 months)

Skills and qualifications:

  • Experience with payroll implementations
  • Experience with project management
  • Proactive, communicative, organized
  • Experience with BPO
