Senior Backend Developer

Job Description

Mercans is a technology company located in Tartu, Estonia. Our focus is on developing innovative cloud-based Payroll, HR and Recruitment software solutions. Our office in Tartu is modern, staff are friendly, and we enjoy daily matches of FIFA during our breaks after working hard. We are centrally located, so everything is at a close distance. Qualifications / Skills

  • 2+ years of professional experience with software development
  • Solid experience with Java
  • Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases
  • Strong understanding of Agile and test-driven development process

Expectations for Ideal Candidates

  • Previous experience with Kotlin or PHP

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining the backend systems of our web application
  • Writing “clean” and well-designed code
  • Building efficient solutions that serve users’ needs
